Angry my car was raped!!!

I'm so damn pissed. Some F@*#ing low life broke into my car the other night. I went doun to the car port to warm the engine before heading to class, and my driver side door was not quite shut, I thiught that was odd, I knew I had shut it. The lock had been pried half out. inside every compartment was open. The seats were pushed and leaned forward. I of course called the cops so they could get prints or some thing. Well apperently it was to cold the night before to get prints. I dont know why the temperature would make a differance.
Any way I went throught the car to see what other damage was done and what was gone. After ripping the lock out of my door all the idiot took was a CD case with 17 copied CDs in it, and the hard case that youre suposed to put the detachable faceplate to my CD player in. They followd the wiers to where the amp goes, but I didn't have it in any way. They left the tools I had in the storagebin and they left the CD player. Every thing but those two items were still there.
I'm just really pissed. At most of the CDs the bastard took were junk any way.
Any one ever had thier locks ripped out and replaced?
Can it be made to look as good as it did? Can I still get MAZDA factory locks. Now I'll have to replace all the locks so my keys match.

Sorry for the long rant but I had to get it out of my system.

won't neccessarily have to get new key - they might be able to rekey the replacement lock

Disable the locks, shave the key holes, and get an alarm system with remote locking feature.

What about the glass? Break the glass and you are in short and sweet Of course the alarm may make a little noise for a few seconds until they cut the battery cable, but sounds like these theives were STUPID so they wouldnt think of this anyways...

Ouch.

I know how that feels, I had the windows busted out on my Accord, the day after I get $300 window tint.

They didn't steal anything, just poked something like a screwdriver through my back passenger window, and the stationary little window, to be a dick.

If that wasn't enough, they kicked in the front passenger fender, left a nice large grassy footprint.

My pain was shortlived though, as insurance gave us $2,400. Windows were less than $200 for OEM glass, and I picked up some of those rice-a-roni Aerogear fiberglass Z3 fenders for $140. Used the rest to pay for new tools, and painting supplies.

Also was able to claim a missing Mavica digital camera, which was stolen at a party a week prior, and they gave me $1000 for that. I was able to buy the exact same camera on Ebay for $243.00.

I should have left a thank you note.

that sucks. We all feel your pain. Nothing worse than to have a bunch of punks mess with your pride and joy.

Anyways..start off with the basics like: don't leave your stuff in plain view, tint the windows, park the car in a safe area only, club it... But when it comes down to it... IF THEY WANT IT BAD... THEY'LL TAKE IT...nothing you can do...hope those bastards get what's coming to them.. what goes around, comes around!

Hehe, one of my friends left one of her back doors unlocked in the middle of the day while the car was parked on her front lawn. Some ********* got into her car (not hard when not locked), went through her cd wallet throwing all her cds on the floor of her car before stealing the cd wallet, and they were all orig cds, apporx 30 of em. They also left the cd player speakers etc. Just took the cd wallet which was just a cheapie.

Not to post *****... but something else I wanted to add to this topic...

It kinda depends on what you drive too.. After high school I was borrowing my sis's Chevy Spectrum (a 1988 or some yr...4 door light blue beater that couldn't reach 85mph if you kicked it out of a plane).. I left that thing with the passenger window rolled down completely at school and at Universal Studios all day long without a thing happen to it..Pretty crazy when I hear of Integras being push started at school while the owner runs to their car because their car pager is blowing up. I want a beater I can leave the windows rolled down and doors unlock... even keys in the ignition if possible... any suggestions folks?

Thieves will steal anything

Especially Juvenile Delinquants... if they're looking for a car to beat the crap outta, they'll just steal the easiest thing to get their hands on... the faster they can get in to it ,drive it away, trash it, and by back at home, the better. Some **** disturber looking for something to do isn't going to go about disabling a car alarm, immobilizer, and steering wheel lock to steal the car...

My friend's '88 NISSAN MICRA got stolen fer christ's sake.... he used to leave the doors unlocked thinking "oh, no one will ever steal this POS.." well, someone stole it, booney-bashed it, lit it on fire, and left it up in the hills... police found it 2 days later, and informed him of his car.

That sux dude.
I had both my 90 B2600i and 90 323 broke into IN MY FREAKIN DRIVEWAY WHILE I WAS HOME on the same night! Turns out some punks rampaged through town that night, breaking in to countless vehicles. They broke the driver's door window (a bitch to remove the broken glass) and tore out my dash pod with my enw Kenwood system in the truck, and my kickers, and my CD case with all my CDs that I had been collecting since high school (1988- I didn't have a CD-RW). They busted the passenger side glass on the 323, but didn't take anything (!?) Maybe they got spooked. I called the cops for a report, and the officer asked for serial numbers- but all the paperwork (receipts) were in the cd case they took (doh). I told the officer that I wasn't going to claim it on my insurance (that was a mistake) and he asked why I even called the police (!). I told him "well, on the offhand chance that you actually might want to catch these guys. I figured you would want all the information you could get on these thieves." He just looked at me confused.

what do you mean by 'shave the key holes'?

I'm thinking of removing the door keys on my car and installing an electronic opener. Leaving the rear hatch key for dead battery situations, etc.

If I remove the linkage from the lock to the latch, does this make it harder to jimmy the door open?

Wow! Here's a blast from the past...a 28 month old thread!! I'm pretty sure "shave the key holes" means to remove the key holes and fill them in.

LMAO even harder

i'm going to put a fuel cutoff switch in mine. that way, they can trash my interior out of frustration when they cant start my car. but i would also like an alarm that screams like a very high pitch ladies voice, yelling something to the lines of "Rape, help me"
