My 88' Na engine and equipment into my Friend's 85 GS..? possible?

my friend is considering of becoming a RX7 kinda guy, he has an eye on a '85 GS, but he wants the 13B. i have an '88 NA GXL with a perfectly running 13B. i also have a '87 TII waiting to be gutted into my '88 GXL. so everything is set on my half. i'm willing to donate my 13B, engine harness, ECU, driveshafts, LSD, etc etc to him for his '85 GS. what will he need to swap hout his 12a for my 13B?? basically gutting out my GXL into his 12a equipped '85 GS.... any suggestions? i heard of a engine mount kit from mazdatrix.

i have a 88 13b n/a in my 84 gsl-se, ran by the 84 ECU. if i were you i would make the changes to the motor to make it run carbed and with the 12a dizzy, you'll also need to swap oil pans, pick-up, and front cover just to get the engine in there. the LSD isn't a nessicity so i say screw that. the hardest thing i had was the vacum switchs and the new intake manifold. i had to study both cars and engines to figure what to hook up where. everything else is pretty easy. if he wants A/C and power steering, he can keep the mounting from the 12 and it'll bolt up the the 88 engine. well atleast my accessories from my 84 13b bolted up to the 88 engine. if you need any parts or help jsut ask.

The oil pick up

The 12a does not have an ECU to control fuel injection.
Your two options are to convert the 13B to carb, or to keep the '88 ECU and wiring harness.

I think it would be easier to keep the '88 ECU and wiring and run the stock fuel injection. You will also need to get a GSL-SE or equivalent fuel pump, and figure out how to wire up the gauges to the new wiring.
