my 85 GSL-SE has a problem in the 6k + range
i drive my SE everyday to school and work. and on a few occasions i get the itch to lean on it for the drive home. but recently everytime i floor it the car wont rev past 6.5k, like it has a rev limit. but before then when i take my car to the track i can take the revs to 8k when i shift. this happens only when i take the pedal all the way to the floor. if i let off even a little bit on the throttle it goes higher like it used to do normally. i can only think of a few things to fix this:
1) Change the fuel filter
2) Change plug wires
3) Change Spark plugs
4) Change fuel pump
5) pour in Fuel injector cleaner
whats the problem here? is it something else? the distributor? blaster coils?

i have the exact same problem! i need to check my TPS also there is a thread that shows how to make this thing that lights up when its not adjusted right. im going to make that cuz it is broken down barney style so call me barney.
yeah i get it that its the tps but what should i do? replace it? i can't afford to replace it now cause it costs $194 on mazdatrix and i dont have that kind of cash right now. i won't be able to replace it for a few weeks or months.
