my 84 gsl se shut down on me afte pumping a full tank of fuel

i fill up my car the other day before i went to work and when i left the pump the car shut off on me it felt like the fuel pump went out. i start it the car and it start it right up but once i give gas it shut down then i left the car park there at the gas station for 3hours then i went to pick up the with a trailer i start it the car right up drove it to the trailer. then park it at my house for 4 days.after 4 days i start the car again no problem i went under the car the fuel pump was working fine took it for a spin about 30 minutes then left it runing for another 30 minutes no problem. but im scared that i take it to work that is a hour drive from nogales mexico to tucson arizona if you guys have any inputs about this problem let me know thank you other than that ythe car is in perfect shape.

I will start with the fuel pump wire (under the driver side bin) and relay (located near the steering column) before anything else.

There is a chance you got water in the fuel. Not sure if it's an issue in your part of the country. If the electrics are good, toss a can of Heet in the tank.

Any chance you accidently filled it up with Diesel fuel? Don't laugh, its happened before...
