My 83 fb has no electrical power

When I turn the key my car doesn’t make any noises at all. I try to see if headlights or whispers work but I’m not getting anything

There's a lot of wiring there..that's not original and hard to make out from pic what goes where. Did this car run previous to the no power complaint? Seen many people run their butt in circles trying to figure out a no start.
Batteries sometimes can die quickly with no warning, like shut car off to get gas and no restart. This has happened to me.

1st,do you know the battery is good, not dead? Do you have a multimeter and a test light? You will need both to diagnose your problem(s).
Battery power comes from battery to 3 fuselinks mounted on left inner fenderwell. I cannot see if they're still there underneath the big glass fuse.I assume that is for a stereo/amp or is that a feed fuse for the car? How well do you know this car? If that glass fuse is the main power feed for the car, that would be 2nd thing i'd check. If factory fuse links are there, there will be three. One for headlights, one for headlight retractor motors and the last is the main fuselink that supplies power to everything in the car. This is where the above mentioned tools come into play, they "look good " is a common response here. They can look good, til you test them, then you know they're good.

How about some pics of below that big clear fuseholder where the oe fuselinks should be to help determine what you have there to help us to help you.

Notice the distributor is incorrectly installed,it's off by at least 2 teeth, maybe more. Looking closer at your wiring by the battery,i can see the alternator output wire goes down alongside battery. in original configuration,it would have come over to left fenderwell to main fuselink area and connect there.
Being that there's so much(rewiring) evident on the car, what we know as factory and should be there isn't,someone has made a lot of modifications. If i were next to the car,a lot could be figured out fairly quickly. We'll need closeup pics of underhood wiring, starting at battery area.

I can tell by looking at that battery that it's dead!

(*kidding, but you kinda get the point!)

Need a lot more information, like what you were doing when it WAS running and then wouldn't start, anything you were doing to it at the time, and how well you know this car,...

Oh, by the way, your strut tops are set for minimal caster. Most of us offset them back and to the center for max caster & camber.

The first step to remove the battery and have it tested. If you have a bad battery you will have no power. When you install a good battery, the battery needs flipped around and the posts are supposed to be on the opposite side. To be fair, without known good source voltage we can't help you a ton.

Glad to hear you fixed it, but you seem to have a fire or other electrical issues in your future. I'd take some time and work through all the under hood wiring.

The negative battery terminal wire was corroded at the end so I cut it and put it back on and it fired right up

I definitely want to clean up those wires but I just don’t know how and what to get rid of. But yea it was just the ground wire for the battery

Glad to hear you got it fixed. I would remove any wiring that's not original if it's not being used. If it's being used, ibwould clean it up and run it in some wire loom. While you're there, now is a good time to clean your grounds and ensure you have clean thread for the ground bolts and clean bolts for the grounds.
