Looks good.

Wheels are a bit odd for a 7 but still nice.

Am I crazy, or do those wheels look like the ones on the General Lee in Dukes of Hazzard?

I really like 'em, btw.

*Edit: Similar, but not really close.

Old school ET rims, haven't seen many sets still in existance these days, much less a set for a first gen. They look really good when the sides of the spokes are blacked out, and the lip & faces of the spokes are polished. Had a set on a 79 thunderbird, quite unique looking.
I think I saw that car offered for sale recently. The seller claimed it had been in the family since it was new, and the wheels were dealer installed. If it wasn't this car, then there is another yellow 79 somewhere with the same wheels.
Nice car, BTW.

Thanks for the feedback.

The rims are from ET and they were on the car already when I bought it.
They have the 4 x 110mm bolt pattern, but have some weird, oval shaped washers that are separate, but "countersinked" into the wheel. You insert the them in the wells and then screw on the bolt. Never seen that before.

I like the way they look, but I am seriously considering a look at Panasport wheels, as well as updating the shocks and struts.

I'll get some photos of the interior shortly.

P.S. They do look like "General Lee" wheels, only I have no intention of welding my doors shut or jumping my RX-7 off the local pond bridge to evade the cops. - Well, OK, if the situation presented itself, I just might.

My RX-7

I saw the other for sale post for a similar 79 RX-7 that was yellow with the same ET dealer aftermarket wheels as mine. But his interior was brown.
Mine is completely black (I will post photos soon.)
Also, his was a 4-speed limited edition, I believe. Mine is a 5 speed.

4 speed was in the Lowest Model. A Limited would have been a 5 speed car.

I have been real tempted to Weld the doors. but I am a bit larger and dont think I could make it in the window every time.
