My 1st RX-7 pics.

Here are some pics of my 1985 RX7 GSL. I'm eventually (maybe 2 months) going to paint it black and also change the interior to black as well. I'm gonna have my brother use the RIT dye method used in the "How to" threads.

You got to loose those fog lights or fix them.

Interior looks great.

Damn, I thought my car had a decent interior, that interior is really nice. Nice car.
That brown totally reminds me of 1985 too. Good luck with the paint and interior color changes.

THANKS GUYS!! Geez, after all the compliments on the interior now I'm thinking about keeping it just the way it is. Yeah, about the fog lights, I'm gonna loose them I think. I just got the car so I haven't really had time to do much more than clean it.

Again, thanks for all the compliments guys! I love my car too!

BTW, if you look closely you'll see that the air vent's are broken. Does that "Victoria" catalog carry them?

Black/black in Houston, great idea! A few minutes after sunrise you can fry bacon&eggs on the hood, and bake biscuits inside.

Recoup the money with your new meals on wheels business.

please what ever you do don't dye that nice brown interior! I would love to trade that for my black interior in my SA,but I don't like the dashes on the 84-85 models, and I want to keep the original dash in my car.You should look into trading an interior with someone before dyeing that beautiful brown interior.I would trade my marron interior from my 83 Limited edition, but again it is different.

I'm pretty sure the interior is gonna remain almost exactly the same except for a new carpet that goes behind the seats and under the rear hatch (the one I have has two big 1 foot diameter holes in it). Some pieces of plastic are just worn/faded and could use the dye to bring them back up to snuff, but all in all I've been convinced to maintain the interior or at the very least trade it for a gray one so that this one won't go to waste. But I seriously doubt I'll trade it.

But the cream color is absolutley gone! Sorry to upset the purists but you know how us girls are! Hey, at least I'm not considering PINK!!!!

As far as the heat goes, two words...COVERD PARKING! I got it at home and at work!!

That's a clean car- I think it looks great as it sits. Keep the brown, it looks good! I like the cream OK, but I could understand if you wanted to get that changed- but if you do, it's going to be an involved process, because if you move to a dark(er) color, you'll have to be sure to at least get the doorjambs and places where the hood closes, etc. Otherwise it will look totally half done.

Just my uninformed, uninvited, unrequested $.000002.

Please!

YES! Please keep the brown interior! As the owner of a Brown on Brown car I know how hard it is to find a nice interior and find some of the bits for it.

Any way you car does look super! All you need is a couple of paint blow-ins and some nice 15" rims and you'll be stylin! If you do get some rims make sure you keep your originals (I have mine still), you never know when you'll need them and they look like they are in awsome shape too.

And most important... Have fun with the car!
