Congrats Rexy- lookin good - you are ahead of me on my rebuild.
Done the cleaning, organizing, painting but still awaiting a center iron, so I think I am done till spring (no garage, and unheated shed won't cut it in Alaska over winter)

What type of engine paint did you use to paint your housings and irons?

 

 

 

the ceramic makes it nice and smooth. this is pretty much the only paint i use since it comes in alot of colors and its only about 5-8 bucks a can

a great day today, got the engine installed and it fired right up!! ive been dreaming of this day for some time now.. first rebuild under the belt!

Timing sounds retarded, Advance it at least 10 degrees and try reving it again....

 

yeah i just got it to idle where id like, now iam gonna adjust the timing

that silver duplicolor sucks though imo.. I used black and "aluminum" and a little bit of gas on the engine, the black was fine but the aluminum ran everywhere lol

 

update: that video was when i forgot to plug in the ALT wirring and was just running off the batt which had less than 10v
