More wiring YEAY!!!!!?

Ok since, i didnt get any help from my last thread......

Ill fix what was wrong with my question,.

My problem is that I need to know where the water temperature sending unit is, (instead of heat sensor).
all I can figure from my shop manual is that it is on the drivers side of the engine some where near the oil filler neck and the Tranny,

Any help this time will be greatly apreciated ( I cant figure out how to spell that? hmm)

Thanks

yes, it's a little rod sticking out. the wire has a cap that sits over the sending unit to make it work. yours might be covered in oil. gotta look real close.

okay, I found that,

I also need to know, what kind of balast resistor do you guys with '79s have on your cars,,
All the ones for sale dont fit in the little bracket.
the ones on my car are the only style ou can get and they look gehtto with a long bolt holding them on, on the outside of the bracket.
