more to this no pistons thing than I thought!

I had no idea there were so many variations of rotary motors out there! What with different cases and swapping all sorts of parts from one motor to another, its left me feeling more rotary ignorant than ever before.

I'm still not sure how much hp you can cost effectively put into a 1st gen, and I'm thinking one of the best things I can do right now is get to some rx7 shows or meetings and just see what everyone's got and talk to some people. Does anyone know of some midwest rx7 clubs or perhaps any mazda/rx7 events coming up? (other than the whole "hot import nights" type crap).

Thanks for all your help!

is the forum for the midwest and mountain region.
Probably the best way to keep in touch on rotary events in your area.

I've been here for awhile now and there's always more to learn. You can tell the guys who know their **** though because they always sound frustrated in their technical responses (they've explained it many times in most cases). These are the guys you want to question the hell out of.

Welcome.

sounds like a vacuum leak. grinding in the rearend, vacuum leak. and your turn signal fluid is low.

seriously, there is quite a bit. everything in a piston engine is still covered but in the form of single pieces. ports and valvetrain? porting on the plates, etc. and each series is different.

as for hp, what are you looking for? any specific numbers, any reason or application? are you wanting to stay carbed, 12a or 13b, turbo? budget, fabrication skills, mechanically inclined? just fill out this questionarre and i representative will be contacting you.
