Who's got the stake? I've got fuel and wood!

Just messing with you, but, yes, you're right.

Precisely. I am 16, and I only have my permit. The only reason I don't have my full license is due to the fact that I don't have a job. My parents are making me pay for my own insurance, unlike every other teenager I know; and, I can tell you one thing, I really wish more parents would make their kid's pay for their stuff. I feel that it makes younger drivers more apparent of the value of the vehicle they are driving. Now, my car has so much sentimental value to me that I cannot put myself into the stupid situations that I see drivers my age do everyday. They have no clue in the world as to what is seriously dangerous and what is just plain stupid. Hopefully, they will learn before they die/kill someone.

Now, I like to think of myself as an *above average* driver for my age; but I attribute that to the 3 kart championships I won in SCCA SoloII, and the fact that my father wasn't afraid to teach me how to drive and encourage me to drive from a very young age (9). I know that I am nowhere near as good of a driver as many people older than me, but that is because I don't have enough experience with "real life" driving. Now, I am fairly confident that I *could* handle a vehicle in certain situations due to my experiece with autocrossing, but the difference between "could" and "can" will only be blended after years of "real driving" experience.

That's my spiel.

Nice try . Actually I've never worked in the insurance industry. My background includes swingstage/scaffold tech, drilling rigs, disc jockey, machine shop, private pilot and some auto mechanics experience. I'm currently working on my AME (A&P to those in the states) licence.

clean,

Welcome to the 'parents don’t spoil you like a rich *****' club that I'm in also.

I pay for the insurance on both my cars and the car note, and any damage that happens to them I pay for.

I put my self in semi-dangerous situations (testing out your car at 120MPH down the highway at 2:00 AM count?) but I also know I'm responsible for my actions so If I get into a wreck it'll be my fault.

Driving > *

I'll FIND ways to get lost in the middle of the Jax woods... just so I can get on the twisty roads, and find a way to get lost some more.... just to drive even more.

I'm an addict. I drive every car to it's fullest potential. Acceleration, handling, braking, etc. The IL State Troopers had no problems on pointing that out on each of the 28 tickets I got in 2003.... I don't drive recklessly... just aggressive.

I have autoXed MANY times, and have taken FTDI on more than a handful of times. I'm good at it, and I love it. I'd put driving over sex. But at the same time, I'd kill to find a girl that loved to drive as much as me... and loved sex too

FWIW, I'm 24 too... there's a lot of us in here!

Yeah,

The first gen section seems to have quite a few young guys because of the affordability of our cars compared to the 2nd and 3rd gens.

Darned rich 3rd gen buggers
