1: There is a Cartech turbo kit BUT it has been discontinued for a long time so you'll have to try to find one used....Good luck. Most people seem to swap out the engine for a 2nd gen Turbo II motor.

2:Using an adapter you can use the cone style airfilter.

4: Racing beat sells a system that is almost dual exhaust. Its only collected before the axel which then goes into 1 muffler. For two mufflers you'll have to get some custom work done.

5: Get a header and full exhaust around 2.25inch is great.

6: Intake, exhaust, electric fan, throttle body mod, remove air pump, igntion, light flywheel (Great mod for the $$$)

7: What are your goals for the car?

8: Theres various kits availble for the 1st gen from wide body to simple front and rear skirts. Also the GSL-SE has a really good bolt pattern which has tons of aftermarket wheels to choose from.

3: My NGK plugs (which look kinda like you described) cost me $10 each. I believe the general concensus is to use the NGK plugs.

:::ducks in case he's incorrect in saying that:::

Re: Mod Questions

1: Kits are hard to come by, but check the sticky posts in this forum section - turbo info is plentiful.

2: The stock SE airbox is already a sort of CAI, and works well with a drop-in K&N air filter. No need to go to cone type unless you're willing to fabricate a custom airbox to keep hot engine air away from it.

4: Why would you want to? Dual exhaust is 'sporty' on a V8, but on a rotary the RB exhaust going into a single presilencer and muffler is not only adequate for street & autocross performance but will add about 25hp to your SE

5: Get the racing Beat header, presilencer, and muffler. Well worth it.

6: K&N filter & exhaust as outlined above. Some have advised switching to an FC dynamic effect intake, but I ran my stock one with no problems

7: see all above

8: Admire it. The body is clean and sexy in it's simplicity as it is. You might consider some new rims to update its looks, but that's about all that's needed.

Would a cat replacement pipe be better than a presilencer horsepower wise?

i wouldent worry about it, the little horsepower you would gain form using a replacement pipe instead of a RB pre-silencer is deffinetly not worht the loudness of the exhaust.
