The MMO worked like a charm

And it was the last thing I tried. It has been very cold around here which must have kept the gas in the chambers from evaporating properly as well as new oil from freely finding its way in. The trailing ignitor was bad and that led me on a wild goose chase as well as keeping the car from starting strong. So, after determining that the car was getting spark and fuel I figured wtf and threw some MMO in there. I didnt really have any qualms about this having had direct experience with how well it can go through a sail boat engine. So, the car was flooded, and the MMO helped. I feel like and ******* for going through all of the work I did over a damn flooded engine. Heh.

the EXACT same thing happened to me. only I replaced the cap, ortot and all the plugs for a total cost of 100$ canadain... then I got it towed to work to have the mechanics look at it. their diagnosis of "flooding" and subsequant unflooding of the engine set me back a further 140$can, plust the 40 bucks i pad to have it towed. all because I am a carb n00b.

so i feel like much more of an *** than you.

oh, and plus i got flack from the senior members of this board for disturbing thier delicate sensibilites by posting a "my car wont start" thread.

Anyone that is too good to offer help when someone can't get their car started isn't that great of person to begin with, so I wouldn't worry about disturbing delicate sensibilities. A link to a previous thread, or info on what to do is help. Telling someone to search is lazy and generally rude. If someone is gonna take the time to post a reply, I wish they would have the decency to just link a thread with the info you need.

Lot of hateful, resentful people around here lately...
