Minor issues

Alright, there are a couple things amiss. First of all, my car sometimes idles very low...around 600..and jumps up and down with a steady pulse. Even after the choke has dropped off. I remedy this by pulling out the choke up to ~1000 RPM and holding it there for a few seconds...then let it off easy. Usually it stabilizes, but not always. Is there something I can adjust to raise my idle speed?

Secondly, I think this is more of an electrical issue, though I know not how to solve it. When my engine is at a steady idle, the tach is steady right? Of course. But when I have the turn signal on, it blibs up and falls down just as dictated above with the pulse. However the engine is steady, so is it just that the electricity taken for the turn signal also sends more to the tach to make it jump?

Thank you for any advice in advance.

There is a adjustment to raise the idle. But that would just be masking instead of finding and repairing the actual problem.
I would spray down the intake and carb area with brake clean or carb spray and see if you have any leaks first.
Never experience your tach problem.
Since it gets it signal from the trailing ignitor I would make sure that the ignitor is tight at the dist along with the connections of the electrical plug. Also check the connections of the wiring at the trailing coil.

Also recommend that you do a thourough cleaning of the battery cables and posts and recheck the ground cable where it fastens to the inner fender area just below the shock tower.
