i have 160k kilometers on my 83 rx-7 i was wondering if i shoudl rebuild it or just leave it be since ill have it in the garage all winter anyways what do you think she still good for more miles?

 

difficult to say without knowing anything about your car specifically, but in general if it was well maintained id say she has plenty of miles left before she needs a rebuild

 

Mine has over 272,000 on it and still all original and going strong. Maintenance and looking after the rx is everything. Good luck.

 

She's just starting to get broken in! I've got 190,000 Miles on mine and no issues at all. I redline her everyday and she's just as happy as can be. No smoke, no oil, no problems (knock on wood!).

If it ain't broke, don't break it....

 

thing is she smokes a bit off start but i think they all do since they actually burn oil.. i just dont now how the engine has been treated for the past 21 years of her life. but i guess what kentetsu says would be good to go by if it aint broke dont break it

 

Mine had 252k and it's running great.
