I would go with weber simply for the fact that weber parts are much more available than mikuni

WHen you said intake, are you talking about the intake manifold? Racing beat makes side draft intake manifolds, that are also resold through mazdatrix. Atkins rotary also sells sidedraft manifolds.

Also TWM is famous for having a manifold that allows you to use two sidedraft carbs.

So you have a few choices.

Since you had fuel injection before im assuming you had a gsl-se. I would personally go with the racing beat manifold. IM not sure about the atkins manifold, but the racingbeat one just bolts to your stock lower one. This allows you to retain the use of your 5th and 6 port actuators

Also rotary shack is THE **** for getting weber parts and stuff. Rob well set you up real nice

your going to want a 45MM or 48MM weber. the size represents the bores of the carb. I have the 48mm on my gsl-se, and it runs perfectly smooth. I just need to tune it. Purs like a kitten at idle

i have the mikuni. super easy carb, very simple, a beginer could rebuild it. and more people that have parts are showing up all of a sudden. but the webber will still have more parts then the mikuni ever will. my mazda goes MMMMMMMMM @ idle too.

carl.
