holleys suck.
unless your running a 13b street port or bigger the mikuni is an excellent choice.
2 barrel carb work real well on the rotary engine.

Is your motor ported at all? What are the rest of your mods.

What will you be using the car for?

I've had a Mikuni on mine for 2 weeks, love it, not a problem so far, just had to work out my funky throttle linkage.....great responsive carb. Sounds cool also.

check out www.Barrygrant.com I would consider a 525 cfm vac secondary raod demon jr or a 575 cfm spped demon double pumper over a holley.

I love my holley, but i have a very nice streetport. for stock port it would be too much. If you plan on porting it soon down the road get a holley, if you are going to always have stockports get mikuni, your response will be better and gas milage will also be nice. I have not had any problems with my holley, i had to make one adjustment when it got hot here last week but as long as the temp change is not huge i just drive it and it works great. Now i have put in larger jets, and different vaccum springs, and plan on center hungs

my throttle cable wont hook up to mine on my 79, did you need to make a new bracket for it or something? you should post a pic how you did it.

i too run a streetport engine, 13b, with the holley 600 carb with no problems. i did have a stock port 12a with the holley 465 on it and decided to put the 600 on it just to see how much of a difference there would be. the 600 was definately too much. i also had a mikuni once too. IMO between the holley and those big 2bbl carbs, they're the same at WOT. now u do get alittle better throttle response with the big 2bbl since ur opening such large barrels all at once. i rigged the holley up once so all 4 barrels would open simultaniously and got the same results. the holley will also yield slightly better gas mileage due to the smaller barrels during normal cruise.

An Edelbrock works well also and is very tuner friendly. I have used this carb on my s/c 13b with good success. It is an excellent carb as far as streetability and very simple tuning. They have a 500 cfm thuder series carb which would be ideal. http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_.../thunder.shtml For a stockport or streetport 12a, do the rats nest removal and follow my threadon the intake modifcation to mount this on your stock 12a or 13b intake. The BarryGrant series is similar to a Holley but a little more tuneable and less expensive than a holley.
