mikuni Carb?
ok now that i got my $500 85 gs - i need to do some work on it and the first thing i want to do is get rid of that p.o.s factory carb. I want to get the same exact carb and intake i used to have on my 81 about 8 years ago. it was a mikuni side draft with a sweet intake... but the company that i bought it from isn't around anymore...does anyone know where i could get one on the net?

Search.
Since they don't make them anymore, you will have to try ebay, or partstrader. My Mikuni came off ebay, and I know someone82 got his off partstrader.
If you're lucky, you'll find one.

i have a 44pph and some custom heat shielding and cai ducting that i might be interested in selling in a couple weeks. (also a atkins aviation intake manifold, but it is for a 13b so will probably not do you much good).
make me an offer, and we will see what can be done.

Bluezone I'm actully planning on getting rid of mine (the carb) as soon as I find a used weber or dellorto 48. It's just not enough for my port, so I'll keep you in mind if I find a new carb.
It kinda sucks it's so easy to get ahold intake manifolds, but it's hard to find people selling the carbs.. hehe
