mikoni carb
I was looking through the search for the best carbs to use. It sounds like mikoni carbs are probable one of the top ones out there but I was wondering where i could find one? I looked at racingbeat and mazdatrix but it looks like they pretty much only have weber and holley. Also, what manifold should i use. I have read that the best place to buy a manifold is from RB but i was just wondering what kind of manifold would work the best with a mikoni carb.
Mikuni. made in Japan, left the US in'95, I believe. They still support the motorcycle market, but not the auto side of it. Parts are still available. You will have to find a used one somewhere. They take the same intake mani as the Webers and Dellortos.
The get post it from time to time on ebay and they can run you anywhere from $100 to $500 depending on the condition. Not bad considering that brand new this carb went for $1,200. I have one in my LE and I have never had any problems with it.
PM me or hit me up on AIM (ss124a)
I have the parts to put together a complete 12A or 13B Mikuni Kit, bolt on ready to go..
There are a few options to this... (a couple manifold options...filter options, etc.
I was using these on my rotaries for a while, tuning installing, so i started stocking up on them... I changed race classes and cannot use them anymore..
