In the middle of s4 swap.. few q's
I am swpping a s4 motor into his 85 gs.... I am going to be installing a Carb setup on it but would like to retain the CAS and 2nd gen coils.... I am going to install the ecu and run the wiring harness into the car and just eliminate the other wires coming out of the ecu, so really what i need is a little guidance as far and the wiring on the ecu what i can eliminate and what not... Thanks a lot....if it isn't feasable then i will use a first gen distributor but i really feel like the cas does a good reliable job and i would like to retain it. has anyone done this? thanks for you input....

the first gen dist will be ALOT EASIER!!!!!
I helped PaulAber do his EFI swap, there are ALOT OF WIRES!
If you still want to, get the factory manual and go down the list on the ecu and anything that has to do with the ignition, keep, and yank the rest, its a MPITA.
but can be done in a day.
