CrazyJoe, are you talking about Rick's purple miata? Or is there another 10 second miata out there?

Money, I suppose, it's not really a feasible swap.

I found this thread on miata forums and alot agree that its a nightmare.
Turbo miata makes much more sense I guess.

Instead of a Miata I'm going to get (Gasp!) a new thunderbird in a couple months! Before you pelt me with old NGKs, consider this: I have 3 FBs for fun driving and I need something like a sedan, but I don't want a damn Taurus or something. And I don't mind having 4 two-seaters, either. So a TBird with softtop and auto transmission is going to be my comfort car (I'm 67 and oughta have some car that's easy).

bliffle,

My grandpa recently bought a T-Bird and he seems to like it pretty well. Its a decent cruiser, good power, low wind/noise in the cockpit (although I'm used to driving a miata as far as convertibles go so take that into account). Cowl shake was somewhat severe.

All in all, not too bad of car for just a cruiser convertible. Styling is hit or miss with people but definitely attracts attention. The only real problem with the car is that its overpriced. However they are getting ridicously discounted at dealers due to the huge inventory of them (or least they were a few months ago) so you shouldn't have much problem picking one cheap.

Sounds like you've already made your choice but figured I would give my opinion anyways

Is Rick the one who owns Racing Mazda??

I am talking about a lady here in Louisville. I know her, the Racing Mazda guy, and the Flying Miata guy were all in contention for fastest Miata.

Cowl shake? Great, it'll remind me of my old TR2.

Yep, that's the Ric I was talking about. Nice to see there are miatas out there at his level of speed.
