Miata Trans???
Ok, my '85 GSL is comming up on a trans rebuild. I know that the 1st gen miata trans internals can be made to fit in my RX. but when I started looking for a miata trans mition this is what I found:
VIN# >400,000 transmissions sell for $100. These may have problems withgetting stuck in reverse.
VIN# <400,000 transmissions sell for $300. Reverse problems have beenfixed by Mazda.
Any one know about the "stuck in reverse" thing. the price is really good but problems with reverse sounds bad.
thanks

Actualy Now I come to find out that the miata transmissions can't hold up to 250hp
I really want the close ratio but maby I'd be better off with a T2 transmission.
would the T2 transmission ratios be to wide for the 12a.
eventualy I'll up grade to the t2 motor.
What is the going price of a turbo II trasmition?
