Question Miata Differential in a 1 gen

hey guys there was a post on some other guys doing this conversion and they say its good but i have a question , there is a viscous lsd that comes off the 90 91 and up will this ring and pinion work or does it have to be a torsen

I wouldnt mess with the VLSD, not worth it, IMHO. The 94+ torsens will work, I hear, but the axle looses some of its engagement room. 1cm, I think.. There's a couple webpages on it.
I believe the gears are interchangable, also, but can't say for sure. Also, certain year s2000 and kia sportages..
