Merry Xmas engine removal

Hey everyone

So i have an 85 GSL and was going to replace the water to oil cooler with the FMOC but could not release the banjo bolt to remove it. There was oil everywhere from leakage and all in all decided it was worth it to pull the engine (as i already had rad and fan and everything out already)

I am planning on removing the OMP and running premix (see other thread if youve done this)

Am going to clean everything up and install a FMOC, understanding ill have to wait to put the engine back in before running oil lines.

I was wondering if there was anything else i should do (rebuild is out of the question and rats nest has been removed) while the engine is out of the car

thanks

Address rust issues, replace suspension bushings, clean engine bay, replace motor mounts, etc etc, basically as much as you can afford. Our cars are no spring chickens, lol

Perks of being a dependant i guess (assuming you are slightly older than me)

Gotta love the 10 dollars my grandma sends me every year lol.

I was a little worried about removing the engine and the difficulty of it because me and my bro have done 3 or 4 engine swaps of a integra gsr. Got that engine swap down to like 4 hours i thinkis our record. but i degress. Once the tranny bolts are off and stuff is unclipped its rediculously easy to pull off.

Gotta love tiny engine RWD cars!

Ah, that is very nice that your grandma sends you money, i bet she loves doing it for you! I wish my grandparents were still alive

And on to brighter things...

OMG engine removal is a piece of cake in the FB, especially if you have it stripped down already.
