It's pretty common in Australia to use complete S5 intakes on 12a turbo engines. There should be conversion plates available there.

There's always the option of putting a package together yourself... The effort is in the hardware: high-pressure fuel system, injector/rail mounting, custom or adapted intake manifold.

I've adapted an S4 TII intake to my old-school 4-port 13b. Here's a few pics:

It might be possible to adapt that intake to a 12a as well, if an adapter plate was used to correct for port mismatch and stud location differences. The injectors could be mounted within the adapter plate, allowing for very similar location to later efi'd rotaries.

The easiest, though, would be to adapt a throttlebody injection unit to the stock 12a manifold. With that option you get the throttle body with injectors, regulator, and tps in one unit. With some scrounging, you could convert to MS-efi for only a few hundred dollars. Someone with a 12a 1st gen did this a while back, but I believe he had an engine fire. Not sure the status since then.
