Dead Thread

Well, for one, I'm glad u brought this back from the dead! Else I'd be the only kid on the block without one! Just ordered it.

It'll go on the desk right next to this little "Savanna"...

I got my rotary engine model to work on the first try. I got mine off of e-bay still in the orginal plastic wrap (the box). So all the parts meshed tohether nicely. It does take 2AA battery's for those of you curious. Gearshift (pulled back) turns it on. Spark plugs light up (both trailing plug fire @ the same time and then both leading plugs fire at the same time. Not necessarily in the order) There is a belt that goes around the main pulled alternator and fan. and it spins (fan too). Plus the plastic (red) rotors come with silver (chrome like) sticker to place over the edges so you can see when the engine sparks.
Very nice model to have.

I got it many, MANY moons ago. I'm afraid I can't remember what company put it out... maybe Revell. But I got it at a hobby shop. It was the only 1st gen model I ever found. I went for the same color combo when I had my 84 SE painted last month:

I baught one a few years back. I was pretty unimpressed with the quality and how it worked so i got most of it done and then just gave up on it. I dont think its worth it. I did see this full scale plastic rotary engine on ebay. It had a full scale turbo, carb, and such.. i wonder if its still online. I saved a picture of it though if anyone wants to see it. That might be worth owning...
