manifold o rings or coolent seals?

sympthoms:
*hard to start , feels like it starts on one rotor untill i rev it for while
*white smoke untill it warms up good , smells like coolent some times
*coolent loss
*i was behind the car and saw a puddle of water by the exhuast when i had just started it
*141K miles

i done a few searches and i think it comes down to either the o ring on the intake manifold, which would be an easy fix or the coolent seals which would be a rebuild.

what do you guys think?
and has any one tried that BLOCK SEAL some old NASA racer told me hes used it and it saves his motor for a while longer

To see if its the manifold orings, look on the top of the manifold where it meets the engine. If the orings are bad, coolant tends to puddle up there. Id suggest a compression test and also you can start the cold engine with the radiator cap off. Then look down inside for bubbling, which would show up if the engine seals are bad.

Never done the block seal thing but many have and results have been mixed, mostly with success. From all Ive read the success comes from proper prep and cleaning of the engine internals. I think Yaw had the procedure on his site.
