I got myself some studs from GORILLA... they screw into where our lugs would go and then a lug nut screws on to them.

I had the same problem with my rims... only like three threads were catching using the oem lugs, so I opted to go with the above after alot of trial and error purchases of this lug and that lug. I been using them now prob' over five years and the only problem I've had so far was this young kid working at the place where I got my new tires mounted overtightened a lug causing the stud to strip out a hole on my rotor... the stud held up fine though and I resused it again in the new rotor. They cost about $75 total for the studs, lugs, & washers.

Ohhhh and they added a good five full thread turns.

12mm x 1.50 (I think) Very common wheel stud size, get them anywhere. I run 2.25 inch Gorilla studs with long open ended aluminum racing lug nuts.
http://www.upgrademotoring.com/wheels/lugnuts.htm nuts like these work with well. There's a gazillion types out there.

I think the LE studs were 1/4 inch longer.
