low pedal (brakes)

I got a brake problem with my new 7. The pedal isn't actuating the brakes till the last 1/4 of travel. I just changed the master cylinder thinking it was the culprit, but no dice. Fluid is perfect and clean. Drums out back, previous owner said he replaced a wheel cylinder recently.

What I need is some possible causes, as it does not appear to be air in the lines. Has anyone else run across a similar issue?

Make sure there is no air in the lines at all. Does your parking brake work good? If it also sucks and barely works, then the problem is with your rear brakes.

Parking brake works fine. I bled a whole quart through it last night, so I don't think there's air in there, but there could be...

I had that exact problem, but mine was probably for a different reason. One of the springs on my passenger side drum broke, the adjuster fell off and got destroyed. I drove around like that for a month or two until I got the new adjuster off the forum. My parking brake didn't work at all, since it's connected to the right rear brake. Maybe it's something with the driver side drum? I don't really know.

Ok, just discovered a stuck upper slide on the left front, this might be the problem.
