Lost power

Was going down the road today under accelleration at about 5500 RPM, when the engine lost about half it's power and continued to run on one rotor. There were no clouds of smoke, no bangs and no grinding or rattling like it ate something. Oil pressure is fine, and temp is fine. Any ideas about what I broke would be appreciated. Thanks...

Will it still idle? Have you done a compression check? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Are you sure you still have spark (perhaps a blown ignitor)?

Need a little more info.

It will almost idle, I'm sure the spark is good, and I'm pretty sure the fuel filter is ok. I took the top plug out of the rear rotor and had my wife spin it over and I didn't feel anything at all with my finger stuck in the plug hole so I have the sneaking suspicion I blew something. How hard is it to fix a rotor on one of these things?

The motor is blown. It is not easy to just fix a rotor. The engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced. You can find used 12a motors cheap. If you are wanting to modify your car now is a good time for some porting with the rebuild. Good luck.

Check the compression to be sure. Good time for a 13b
