loose steering linkage

ok I was looking at my steering linkage and this one link is very loose. its on the passenger side. it looks as if there should be some rubber bushings, but there are none. and the bar moves all over the place when I steer. the steering in this car had never been good.

That's your idler arm. You need to replace the bushings. Might be a good idea to check the tie-rod ends and ball joints as well.
