Well, I know this should technically be in the parts for sale/wanted area, but I know that it doesnt get much viewing. Besides, some of you kind folk had offered to help me out with my 7 after it got stolen, and I was hoping that some of you might still be out there with your brown interior parts...

Basically, Im looking for just about anything for a series 2 interior thats in good or better shape that I can buy. Im specifically looking for as follows:

1. The panel that goes around the gas door, choke ****, and hatch release buttons (with screws missing from picture if possible)

2. Stereo surround

3. Series 2 ash tray (who steals an ash tray?)

4. Cigarette lighter assembly (once again, why?)

5. Both inner fender covers in the rear hatch

6. Screw covers for screw holes in the rear hatch

7. Rear hatch latch plate with carpet if possible (where the cargo light is, I dont need the light though)

8. Drivers side cover for the side of the dash (kinda where the door closes, see pic)

Thats all I can think of for now, but Im sure theres more. If anyone out there has some of that stuff, if you could PM or post here how much you want for it shipped, that would be great. I can Pay Pal money or whatever. Im just kinda looking o get the small stuff outta the way right now because I still dont have a lot of money together yet. Anyway, thanks everyone .

I have the same color interior. I know they have one in their yard with the interior intact. I took a few of those screw caps off it myself...

Whether they'd send stuff - I dunno...

The cig lighter, ash tray, and stereo surround are not actually brown are they? I have a silver surround, black ash tray, and a cig lighter I could send you.

PS - I also have a horn button, and fuse box cover if you want those. They aren't in the pic, so I wasn't sure.

 

Would panel 1 and 8 be teh same on an 84-85? Also, TJ your brown looks lighter than my old brown interior, but if they fit, theyre yours. You can have the rear hatch area stuff too if you want, but they're pretty faded.

 

As far as I know, the '84 and '85 browns are a darker. '83's weren't really a brown, but more tan - carpet was a rust color...

As far as I know, all the interior dash pieces are 82-83 ONLY.

So, wwilliam54, you have the plastic latch plate thingy at the back of the hatch that the cargo light screws to? It sounds like you have the "cover" for the end of the dash I need too, as well as the inner fender covers and screw covers?

Its kinda hard to read the begining of your post, do you have the panel that goes around the choke **** and what all or not?

Is there anyway you can take pictures so I can see what kinda condition theyre in? Im sure theyre better than what I have ( ), but Id just like to see them first.

If everything goes well, let me know what you want for the pieces shipped, and we can work something out, ok?

I have the stereo surround and cig lighter... I haven't actually been out to my parts car, but I did find these. I have pics too, btw- Oh, and they're FREE.

I don't know how close to Spokane you are, but you can come pick them up if you want, or I can send them to you.

I have a really brown dash for my '83 that I still need to install. Definitely darker than his brown (tan). However I think you may be right since all the yards I've been to the only time I find this color brown is in the 84/85 bodies.

 

These aren't what you need are they? I don't want them so I just figured I'd ask. They are off of an 81 GSL of course.

 

Wow, thats GREAT! Thanks . Unfortunatly, Spokane is quite the drive for me, Im in Woodinville, which is like 20-25 minutes northeast of Seattle. So, I think it would be cheaper if I just sent you some money to have them shipped to me . As for the cigarette lighter, its the whole assembly, right? Like the actual socket thats attached to the radio plate, not just the little lighter part, right?

Yeah, actually I could use those if you want to part with them. They look darker than mine, but maybe its the camera...Hell, I dont know, maybe I have "tan" interior and not "brown"...

the lighter doesn't have the bracket on it.

I did, however, find the piece (same color, same year- 83) with the fuel door switch on it. The fuel door switch looks brand new. I also have the little round nut that the choke mounts into. Unfortunately, the side piece was missing. These parts are free, as well. I'll PM you with my addy...

 

Let me know if you need anything that I listed. I have the whole cig lighter assembly (two actually), the stereo surround, the ash tray, the horn button, and the fuse box cover. Like I said before, the last two weren't listed, but they were missing in the pic, so I figured I'd offer. I also have a factory digital clock if you need it.

Oh oh oh!!! Digital clock for a series two interior!?!?!?

I have the analog from a GS I put in when I took out the stock stereo, but I want the digital!! I dont need the horn button or the fuse box cover, I have spares of those, but the clock would be AWESOME! Let me know how much you want for that .

As for everyone else, thanks. Ill get back to PMs and stuff after I "recover" from Christmas and get my paycheck in the bank on Monday and see what I can do for payment and whatall .
