little more help please

Well i got my idle prob under control...but still loss of power.
Blocked of large hose to the shutter valve. I am kind of unsure if this guy ment block off the small one on the end of the shutter valve or where it comes from the rats nest? also do i bolck th hole going to the air box? How do i tune my carb w/just the stock tach.
Thanks all for you time.

Only block the fat tube that's hooked up to the shutter valve (I personally think it's easiest to just unplug the tube from the air filter and stick somethin' in there)

As for tuning with the stock tach...... guestimate? The only thing you should really need it for is setting the idle, I believe...

I know everyone told me to only block off the fat tube. I acctualy did thet at first but that seemed to not work. so i called A-spec tunning(chicago's only Rx-7 shop) and he could not get me in but he gave me a number for some guy on the west coast. 503 aera code and thay answered the phone suchandsuch Racing(anyone know who it was). Anyway blocked off both holes and it iled smooth removed the small cap and it died. main consern is my loss of power especaly 1-3rd under 4000 rmp's?

Under 4000 rpms? Rotary's don't have a whole lot of power in the low rpm range by nature. So when you put your foot into it and the secondaries kick in you have lots of power up high?

If your idle lopes you prolly have a...............vacuum leak. Very common. To tune your carb at idle, you need to adjust the mixture screw.
