I don't care how well the outside of the car is painted, if you are not even going to take the time to match the door jams, LEAVE IT THE SAME COLOR!

I've always thought that the LE's had a special vin number. That number looks like a standard FB vin. Perhaps its a vin in badge only.. And didn't LE's have a leather interior.. Like the GSL's?

Not all GSL's had leather interior. Mine didn't come with leather.

le's are a gs with 14" "special" rims, special paint with a pin stripe, red cloth int. they had ac,power mirrors, sunroof, rear defrost, cruise, and drum brakes. I have seen only a hand full of real le's and all were stock paint. I have seen a special edition 79 with black paint. Lots of people get the le wheels and claim the car is a le.... look at the le badge on the rear center panel....NOPE..... and I have yet to find out a way to tell a le by its VIN, I would like to so i can find out what # mine is on the 1-5000.

I'd take it. Looks nice. It would be worth over 10K here!

I thought only SEs had the 14" wheels. But then again I knew a guy that has an '84 GSL fuel injected! I didn't think he had a 13B in it, but maybe he did. Then I have to wonder why it wasn't a GSL-SE? Anyway, he abused the hell out of it until he crashed and totaled it! At the time the car was only 3 years old! What a shame.

Not all LE or GSL-SE came with leather.
It does have the LE paint under the hood.

Either his car was a GSL-SE with GSL badge or it was a GSL with a GSL-SE or a SE motor.
