OK... this will sound weird... just keep in mind that my 7 had 2 previous owners

My right rear side light (the rectangular one on the side, below the antenna) does not work properly... One night i discovered it did not come on when i turned on the lights and thinking it was a burnt bulb, i checked the bulb--it's fine... then i took out the frame where the bulb is held and saw that no wires were connected to the bulb--but upon connecting it back up, the bulb lights up in an opposite manner... with the lights off, it comes on and with the lights on, it turns off

What's wrong?

 

check for a crossed wire.

 

do you know if that wire can be found in the front of the car? because i have almost no access to that wire... i can only stick my arm way into there and feel for the wire (from the inside)
