light mods
Sorry to beat a dead horse but I noticed a company in japan had many light mods for different cars (2nd gen and 3rd gen rx7's) that seem like with a little bit of work could be converted to a 1st gen RX7 either as a "sleepy eye" or as a fixed system...I am not trying to plug anybody but more looking for advice (or someone who knows japanese) the company is :
www.east-bear.co.jp
or more specifically
http://www.east-bear.co.jp/aeroparts...c3s/index.html
Again not tryig to plug but what do you people think? could i mod them to work in my 85 rex

hmmm.... i dont see any of the lights your are talking about. they sell stuff like strut bars, clear corner lenses, carbon fiber hoods. and they do i have a High beam harnes kit. by reading what it dose its like HID. it supplys more power to the lights.
they have a section for rx7's but only FC and FD's.

oh i see. what your are talking about.
it might be posible to cut them to make them fit in an FB, although the FC' lights are more square and bigger.
for 58,000 yen that a bit expencive to pay then try and cut and fab.

yeah
the lights shown here

would those have to be heavily modded to fit a 1st gen?

I just removed my light fixture to try and figure something out. The problem I'm running into is being able to fit a light, probably a 4x6" light, in the well so it is high enough to avoid casting a shadow on the road.
I'm right now trying a pair of Hella fog lights just to see if I can get something useable. But what I'm figuring is that I'll need to mold a piece of plexiglass with a bubble so the lights can sit high enough to project light on the road.
Not sure if I'll figure it out. maybe if I had some more money I could buy some plexi to play with but I think I need some shocks pretty bad.
