Compression is all there, but since I plan on doing a full resto on the car (painting the engine bay) I don't want to have to pull the motor after the fact. I'd rather just replace all seals and rebuild the motor right up front. Running or not isn't an issue to me really, I'd rather see it put together right the first time so that once its done all I have to do is drive it,

I can appreciate that, I am doing a bunch of stuff on mine now, will have to get dash out tonight (haven't been able to find a write up on it yet) mine is my first 7 but I am hooked , there are now 3 in the stable but the SA is my fav

yeah the waffle wheels are not the best looking but surely are a SA trademark

Well, I didn't really get anything but some garage cleaning done today, but I figured I'd post some pictures of the engine disassembly at least... I did notice that inside the flywheel nut, the Pilot bearing (I think?) has grenaded... The whole inside is full of metal shavings and pieces of what looks like the inside of of a u joint. I'm guessing that's not gonna be good... Glad I pulled the motor...

Just keep chopping away at it, it will get done.

Last night figured out a way to intall the front carpet with removing the dashboard tonight being a slacker lol
