Can't comment on the product, but as an ex jeep guy I see some red flags. It says it fits cj, tj, yj, and jK. Cj and tj both used the same 7 inch light the fb does, but the yj used the rectangular headlights... Not round. The jK is newer and does not use the same 7 inch (sealed beam) headlights, and I don't they mount the same as the cj or the tj, and def not the yj seeing as the yj has rectangular headlights, not round.

Also... At that price, I could buy 4 sets of Hella ecodes on amazon.

I bought a set of "Speaker" brand 7"
LED headlights, and while very expensive ( almost 2x the cost of what you shown) they are extremely bright. They don't give off any annoying tint, and they project a very clear bright light. I like them a lot. I hate the cost, but the product is nice. Also, I bought a set of "ballasts or stabilizers as they tend to "flicker" or vary in brightness at idle without them.

Good luck with what you choose.

thanks redlightrich! i think i will go ahead and do it. anything is better than stock. my DD has HID and when i get into the FB its like i cant see anything at all. its like im driving blind... exagerating a bit. Pro's/Con's : pro's - LED's draw less current, run cooler, last longer and most importantly, brighter. con's - pricey. easy decision... so from a safety standpoint, i think its worth it. thanks everyone for your input! i love this forum!

I bought a set of the trucklites. I love them. Here is a video I shared from a previous post.

You can see my SA at :39 and again at 1:11.

You can also see the light from the LED headlights from across the parking about halfway left of center from :14 to :37 where I was showing them. Started off on low and then moved them to high around :17. The camera really made them look glaring but they don't appear so glaring to the naked eye.

I have been using them for almost 2 years now. I posted something about it in the non technical section under the what did I do to my FB thread. I also mentioned it in my LED upgrade thread which is somewhere here in Technical.

I like them. They are bright and have really good illumination of the ditches which is why they are a preferred upgrade for Harleys. The 18 wheeler professional drivers like them because on those trucks that drive a lot at night they last years instead of months. On low beams they are black on the bottom half. The only thing people comment on is that there is a V shaped hot spot that bothers some people. It catches their eye when driving. These are used for alignment and you probably have them pointed down too low if you are noticing this. High beams are brilliant and illuminate very well. The research I did indicated that the JW Speaker LED headlamps are better on high beams but not as good on low beams. Considering that for most of us you spend 99% of your time at night using low beams the Truck Lites are the better choice.

Are they worth the cost? They are really good lights. They are a drop in replacement for the original halogen sealed beams. They draw 1.8 amps per element. So under normal operation of just low beams they draw 3.6 amps and with high beams they draw 7.2 amps. This is just a little more than half of what the regular halogen sealed beams draw. And because they are LED's they will probably outlast almost everything else in your car. A permanent replacement. So it all depends on just how much you drive your FB at night if this is worth it to you. For most people I would say it is not worth it. Just buy replacement sealed beams and use the savings to buy six tanks of gas. Being that my FB has been converted to a plug in electric I have a little different view of the whole thing and lowering the current at night was more important to me at the time I changed these out. If you are having alternator issues which some people do this might be a partial solution.

I hope that helps.
