Larger radiators, relocating oil cooler, 12a cars

Hey all.
Well i've finished replacing my blown up radiator.
I ended up using a radiator from an -SE, They are
larger but fit no problem. same bolts align. I would say
it's a good upgrade. I also use a air-oil cooler that used
to be under the stock radiator. No more. Now the oil cooler is right in the middle of the air intake or 'grill'
in front of the radiator. Made my own stainless steel
braided oil cooler hoses(again, made 'em for the -SE too)
Car runs too cold now, so i'm thinking a hotter thermostat by maybe 5 degrees. I was going to do the
radiator in the laid down position, forward. But just installed it in the stock position with the fan shroud too.
Turned out neat and clean, no runs , no leaks, no errors.
YEAH !!!! (thanks for the shroud, mel)

Do you have any pictures? My car kept trying to overheat last summer, so this could be a good upgrade. Any other info that I should know? Thanks in advance.

An SE Radiator is the same as a 12A Radiator on 83-85 models. It's just taller and thinner, rather than short and stubby. They work great though. I have mine set to keep the water temp at 160 or less all the time.

What year radiators are short and stubby with the oil cooler that bolts up underneath? 81-82?

Thanks, Ed
