Buy some lug bolts? IIRC you will need some M12x1.5 2" long lug bolts. Gorilla makes some nice ones, part# 17179

Yes, go to a wheel shop with a lug bolt in your hand and tell them you want studs for the car that has hubs for that bolt. They install with an Allen wrench. I converted to studs/lugs when I got my mesh wheels.

You you could, although sometimes the studs back out and can be irritating. You can also get locking bolts, thats what I use, gorilla makes a matching set to the regular bolts.

That's why you torque down like crazy with a hex head on a breaker bar, then install the wheels and lugs on top of that.

Get a dowel pin and find a bolt that fits in it.

Lug bolts are a PITA....get studs. If you install them with Red Lock-tite they will not back out. The ones that I use on my race car came from Bildon Motorsports - www.bildon.com. Bildon specialized in VW's and BMW's - they also came with Lug Bolts. I ordered 80mm race studs so I could use wheel spacers. They have a recessed hex and install with an Allen Wrench.

Mazdatrix also sells studs for 12A cars - www.mazdatrix.com. They also install with an allen wrench and work just fine.

As far a wheel torque....NEVER EXCEED OEM RECOMMENDATIONS. This is true whether you are using wheel studs and lug nuts or lug bolts. When you over torque a fastener you stretch it more than was intended by the manufacturer. This can cause stress fractures to occur. Eventually over torqued lug nuts/lug bots fail in a really bad way.

When I am doing a wheel change on my racecar I disassemble and reassemble by hand so I can feel for bad spots in the threads. I always tighten to the proper torque by hand on all of my cars using a quality torque wrench.
