Cool Koni or Tokico?

Anyone out there has any opinions on which is better? I am refering to the tokico HP vs the Koni Street special. Both of them are non adjustable. I just want to upgrade my 85se with better shocks. Also, is it worth to get the spring? Which springs for mostly street driving and occasionally opening it up on the freeway? Are all these shocks and springs compitable? Thanks.

Jeff

I think if you are going with non-adjusting, either would be ok (with your use). If you are staying on the street, I would not change springs. If you want better performance AND stay on the street, I would spend the extra money on adjustable shocks, Illumina??

your springs are probably old and worn.. my opinion would be that it is worth getting new ones.
with the combination of new springs and either of those struts, your seven will feel like a new ride.

I have the non-adjustable Tokico's. No complaints.

I have the Tociko Illuminas and they are awsome!!!! not sure about the blues though. As far as springs go I love my Racing Beat springs. they give a firm but not harsh ride, and they are around $120 for all four.

Either shock is fine, but I would look for some new springs. Yet, you cannot go with a much higher spring rate with those shocks.
