Killer Bee vs 13bt ii engine swap

Im getting ready to do an engine swap and im looking at either swapping in the 13bt ii or the Killer Bee engine. if u dont know the killer bee is a custom 13b street ported engine that uses a carb.....right now i have a deal for the killer bee, new exhaust and headers, and a weber carb. sad thing is that the killer bee is n/a but i can later on put on a blow-thru turbo....... if i use the killer bee i will have a bhp of 250...what if i used the 13bt ii? if anyone can tell me what would work better plz help me out, also im trying to get high performance without paying way too much b/c next year im going to buy a 3rd gen.

also another question is how can i modify my carb right now on my 12a to get faster acceleration. i was told to cut the spring for my secondaries by 2 coils but i did that and now i just have a massive top speed but absolutely no acceleration. also on the back of the carb theres a switch to activate the secondaries that a spring operated "T" handle is attached too. my "T" at first was not connected so i connected it and i noticed that it didnt do jack for the cars acceleration or top end speed, is it really necessary to have it connected. if u dont know exactly what im talking about ill take a pic of it tomorrow b/c its dark right now. thanks for any advice on this bs.

The difference between a 250hp NA engine and a 250hp TII engine is about 60ft/lbs of torque. The answer to your questions is in your own means. Do you have the time and money to start this project. Obviously, a turbo project will take longer, be more work, and would cost about the same or WAY more...depending how wild you go.......For reliability, definatly the NA.

Honestly, If I were buying a FD in a year I would be saving my pennys now and wouldn't be worrying about hopping up my current car. Unless you are buying a show car, there will be plenty of things you will want and need to do to most every FD you could possibly buy....oh ya and doing a lot of research will help. FD's are a different breed with their own do's and don'ts....And there are a lot more don'ts

Good luck
The answer lies within you my son

Just adding to and waking up an old thread, but I had a custom template made based on the intake ports of one of Nick's Killer Bees. I'm currently rebuilding mine using modified and balanced genesis rotors and rotating assembly for a low HP (low being a theoretical 170whp with my current racing beat Holley setup), high acceleration NA build and basically leaving the ports overall the same Just cleaning up and refining a bit. But thought I'd share some pics and info if it would be helpful to anyone
