trying to get my window squirters to work today (need them to pass the pits), and i found the little globe for the keyhole light.

so i went and got a new globe for it, and i have to say im damn impressed..

when i open the door then close it again., the light stays on for about 10 seconds, or until i've turned the car on, dont know about in america, but here in aus we only jus started getting cars tha did that.. and heres my little 20 year old mazda with it WWWOOOO!!


now my question, does the interior light do the same thing? because mine doesn't work at the moment, and if it does do the same thing then thats a whole lot of incentive to make it work..

I don't know about Aus. cars, but my 84 GSL-SE has a switch beside the interior light, and you can turn it on, off, or turn it to come on when the doors are open.

 

My 82's interior light doesn't come on when the doors open, even when I have it set to that scenario...dunno what's up.

I'd like a keyhole light, many a time have I had to turn on the interior light to find the ignition, lol

You know where the light above the rear view mirror is?
Theres a black slider switch that just clicks side to side.
My interior light is on the fritz too FirstGen, so the whole light only comes on some times...Loose connection in the light I think, if I pull the cover off (okay the cover is broke off) and touch the light a few times it'll come on, and then eventually go back off on its own.
