Talking Just A Question About Rims And Fitment

So I ordered my respeed big brake kit for front of my 1979 and i have the 1985 spindles. so my question is that the rims I wana run are a 17x8.5 I believe, mustang rim off of a 03 mustang.

dont bash me on the rims they were next to nothing.

anyway the total back spacing measured from the rear of the rim lip to the mounting pad is 5.75 inches.

any ideas on what spacer I am going to need for the front.

the rear looks pretty good when against the rotor.

thanks

Not sure buddy, but hey, can you post up picks when you get them on? I've got 15x7's on my 85se and I was hoping to go to a size that will almost tuck. It's a toss up between bigger-crappier wheels or lower-crappier suspension.

Well it depends on what tires you're running on those rims...

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

This site should help you some...

Assuming you have the 185/70/13's (The + Rims) then it will only be a 1.1% increase over all to put 205/30/17's in.

There is another tire calculator that will do lip, offest, ect.

I will post it once I find it...

I am running a 215/50/17 tire, they fill the wheel well very nicely. they are about 3/4 or so larger in diamater than the old tires I have on it.
