I suppose you would just build a different mount.

Unless you have some very radical engine and body mods on the car moving the radiator from its stock location is about the most ineffective way to improve cooling.

Mostly I've seen slanted radiators on race-only vehiclesand some supercars. Using an air dam and hood louvres you create an air channel for the cooling air and place the radiator in that path so it gets the most air possible. I can't see this being really neccessary on all but the most heavily modified RX-7's, by the time you have a car that really needs this you wouldn't be asking how to do it.

I got mine on a slant, but dont have pics handy.

When I get my bay done I'll throw some pics up.

oh btw I use a 2nd gen rad, its the only way it will fit.

Pretty much same slant as in the 2nd gen, cools a ton better then the stocker, so far I havent even installed the fan and the car doesnt come anywhere near the middle of the temp gauge when running.

-note: running not driving

The fan will not be as effective if the radiator is moved or angled. If you have switched to electric fan which mounts to the radiator, it is a moot point.

You can fit a larger radiator in the same height restriction if you don't have depth restriction.
