just installed my new shift boot from redlinegoods.com LOOK!!!

well, its been a while, but my car finally arrived a couple days ago, as some of you know, and i just finished installing the boot from redlinegoods.com that i got some time ago. let me know what you think!!! i must say, that it definately makes the interior look way more classy than the stupid ugly rubber poor excuse for a shift boot that mazda decided to put in the fb

as of now, they are available, so go get one already!!!

i also decided to get his e brake boot, that should look pretty sweet too.

Everyone,

Nick was nice enough to make the pictures a link to our site where you can order the boots. Yes, bootS - because we've got a positive that the FC ebrake boot will fit the FB as well, so we can offer both.

If you need the link again, here it is: http://www.redlinegoods.com/FBproduct.shtm

Thank you!
Maciek

i used double sided tape. i was worried that the velcro wouldn't hold well, but the guy from redlinegoods says he's going to include velcro with the boot to attach

now i just need a nice silver, or gunemetal shift ****. what i want is one that will slip really far over the shifter, so that it appears that i have a shorter shifter. u know? instead of the threads on the shift **** being at the bottom, making it sit really high up, i'd rather slip one right over, so the shifter practicly hits the top of the shift **** (on the inside). understand? or am i just wacked?

right on! that's the exact same shift **** i had in my last car, the 91 crx. has a really nice feel to it, and looks sweet!.

personally, this time around i wanna go with the skinny type ****, instead of the blunt round type. everyone needs a change no and then!

Well,

I work at a local car wash supervising vacuumers and so I pull the 'expensive' cars up (we've had everything from ferraris to lambos) and today I tried a slew of different shifters, the rounds one I felt looked like it would be a little easier to shift and there was one of the long skinny type ones that you talk about and it felt good to a point but unless you have a short shifter with precise shifts it feels like you would mess up a shift if you barely shifted wrong.

Boot looks good but you should have refinished the surround before installing it and providing the pictures for their site. I ordered one today in burgundy.

ya i hear ya....i wish my shifter surround looked better, in fact i wanna do the entire console in carbon fibre overlay at some point, its just not the most important thing on my list of things to do right now.

and yeah, rotor13b, that's the shift **** i want, except i hope i can find one that slips a little further over the shaft to make the shifter appear as though its actually shorter.
