Thumbs up just got my TOYO proxes RA1 205/50/15 AWESOME!!!

Yesterday after much thought I decided to keep my 15" wheels and put some new rear tires for my car.

I bought two Toyo proxes 205/50/15s and went on to race.

My first impressions were mixed. I thought they were not worth it because I had not heated them up to get to their maximum potential. These tires need to be warm and used a bit to provide thier maximum performance. I raced a couple of times and I noticed no performance change until a buddy of mine told me to rev a lot higher before letting the clutch pedal off.

I usually take my car out at about 4k - 4.5k to avoid wheelspin. These time I started to take out the car at 7.5k after a nice 4 second burnout with the brake pedal before staging.

this is where the fun began...

out the hole there was a dramatical improvement, about 3 car lenghts difference... second gear tire spin was gone right away and blew a gear tooth of my diff or so I think...I'll get that replaced today.

well in few words these tires are AWESOME and I highly recomend them for drag, circuit racing and normal day to day driving...they just plain rule....

I have Toyo Spectrums which are one notch below the Proxes . Theyre pretty damn cool too . I got mine at Les Schuab (sp?), they also carry the Proxes there, but they dont have them in the stock 12A wheel size, which is why I got spectrums.
