Just got my first Rx-7!

its a 1985 gls, automatic tranny, with UNTOLD MILES dun dun dun.

We got the car, 1 extra auto tranny, 1 extra 5 speed tranny, clutch pedal and shifter in case we want to convert to 5 speed. 2 sets of spare taillights, a witing harness for some reason, a extra back window, an extra dashboard, and literally piles of other small parts.

All for $600

I'm not sure if we are keeping all that crap might sell it later, is anyone here desperatley seeking any of those parts?

anyway I'll post pics later so y'all can tell me what you think and I'm proud to join the ranks of rotary owners1

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Its a GSL(not gls). Check out the faq page at the top and use the search buttom all the time. Convert to the 5-speed. You can seel the parts in the rx7 1st gen. for sale section at the bottom. God bless

Welcom to the wonderful *?* world of rotaries. Toss the spare back glass (we've all got about 8 spares that we'll never need), toss the automatic transmissions (you could walk faster), swap to the 5 speed, and save all the other parts. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

Good find. Welcome. I would recomment NOT tossing the hatch glass. You never know when you may need it later. I wouldn't toss anything. Sell everything possible to getmoney to fix it up

Keep whatever you think you might someday need, then sell or toss the rest. I'd keep the back glass. One spare is a good idea. Keeping 7 or 8 of them is maybe not a good idea.

Oh, and welcome to the club. Beware the addiction. Soon you'll find yourself with more than one.

Welcome to the club, to wankel owning, and the most addictive car ever made. You'll love it, hate it, want to rip your hair out because of it, enjoy it, want to make love to it, and every other feeling that you can have with it. You may as well break up with your girlfriend/boyfriend if you have one now because this car will soon be all that matters to you. Plus you won't be able to afford them both.
