junk motor?

junk motor?

I just picked up another 12a and 2 tranys from an 84 I did a compression check on it and got very little in the front chamber like under 30 and in the back rotor alittle more like 40 the guy who I got it from said he parked it because he didnt have spark but it didnt smoke it has sat for maybe 10 years but it spins fine is there anything I can do or should I just rip it apart and use it for decoration on my garage wall or is it worth anything it has all smog on it

if you can get it on a stand and get a starter on it, you can try the ATF trick, then use the starter to crank it at bit.

if it has not been started in 10 years it prolly has a lot of gunk built up.

if not and you want to do a rebuild, just start riping it apart so see if there is any scaring on the side walls.

Get the two 13b rebuild videos that are available and a Heynes manual. Watch both videos, read the manual, and dig right in I'd say

Or just get it rebuilt

If you have the manual youll be fine, videos are just gravy to what the Haynes already has.
