A second auction on this fine vehicle. I have nothing to do with it, but I sure wish I could justify another one right now...

Hey David:
I saw where you are from Georgia. I am in SC, and looking for someone who can work on my 83' RX-7. Know anyone?

Man, I'd like to help you, but I'm always trying to figure out where my next mechanic is coming from and how to I get him here.

I can handle electrical and interior and peripheral mods ( bolt-ons ), but I can't find anyone that I trust to do the following for me:

1) Rebuilt GSL LSD rearend
2) Add 4.88 chunk to it
3) Do the disk brakes all around ( I have all the parts and new rotors )
4) Possible tank swap ( or out and treat and reinstall ) with filler neck reposition
5) Atkins SC through holley install and tune
6) New springs and shocks and struts and bushings all around

Can I do it ? Yeah, probably, but it seems I have more money than time lately and I don't have a lift in my garage. The local mechanics I'm aware of are either stupid or afraid. Even the Mazda dealership won't rebuild my scavenged LSD rearend or install a chunk in it, either.

Anybody out there want a paid week in Georgia later this year ? I am serious.

LOL. I'm a sucker for a 1st gen. Hey, I didn't feel like 2500 was even close to the reserve and I was right.

I do alot of ebaying and I really wish that people would just start there bidding at the lowest price they would take, have no reserve, and see if anybody will bid... maybe multiple bidders will run it on up... maybe even a bidding war.

When you sell something to an individual, you don't make them start low and keep guessing higher what is the least price you'll take !!!

If I were selling that car, I'd start at say 3500 with a buy-it-now for 6000 and hope for multiple serious bidders.

oh well...

It is beautiful. Too bad the badge on the rear is missing "-SE".

Looks like we're seeing the top end ($3K-ish) for a GSL in any condition.
